CHOGM comes to PERTH

Not many words today.  Instead I wanted to share some of the images captured from the day of the Great Aussie BBQ held in Perth last Saturday to celebrate the end of the weeklong Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM)... some are of the event, others from a wander through the CBD and city afterwards....

Perth Esplenade (Alf Curlewis Gardens)
Wouldn't this look amazing on the hilside below Kings Park
overlooking the Swan River!
Our viewscreen on the Esplanade... sorry about the quality!!
The Queen's arrival at the Esplanade
er, not sure, but he was amazing on the didgeridoo!
there, you can see him on the right of the picture..
Early and Late 20th Century (don't quote me on that one)
This would make an amazing quilt pattern!
This is the new Commonwealth Bank building
This is the old Commonwealth Bank building next door
Style and Pattern
Elephant Kisses!
Mega Flora Chogmosis in the Urban Orchard
Weaving a Peacock's Tail
The Ayres Rock Surf Lifesaving Club
AKA Pinstripe Circus
Indiginous Car Art!
The colours were overwhelming, and beautifully executed.
The attention to detail is just stunning.
